LISTENERS to BBC radio were yesterday subjected to the gloomiest bits of a new survey by the National Centre for Social Research.

It revealed we are fed-up with politicians and economic turbulence.

But NatCen’s deputy chief Gillian Prior also said: “There is still a great deal of national pride.”
